SoilRibbon Feel Lab
A field lab that keeps bed notes, photos, and drill progress on your device—built for muddy offline days, not ad networks.
Effective 2026 · SoilRibbon Feel Lab
Plain summary
SoilRibbon Feel Lab does not collect personal data. The feel-test workshop, texture triangle, crop catalog, amendment scenarios, recognition drills, and site cards run on-device.
There are no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising trackers, and no account sign-in required to use the educational library.
What stays on your iPhone
- USDA class results and workshop progress you generate while practicing
- Site cards for beds and paddock corners, including optional photos, checklists, and notes
- Starred study sets and timed drill streaks
- Widget-related preferences for the ribbon-length cheat sheet
That content is stored with on-device frameworks (including SwiftData where applicable) and is not uploaded by the app to SoilRibbon Feel Lab servers.
What we do not do
- No sale of personal information
- No third-party analytics or advertising networks inside the app
- No remote profiling of your orchard, homestead, or paddock layout
- No requirement to create a cloud account to open the seeded library
System permissions
If you attach a photo to a site card, iOS photo access is used only to place that image in your local card. You can deny access and still use the rest of the lab. Notifications, if enabled later for study reminders, are optional and controlled in iOS Settings.
Children & education use
The app is an educational utility suitable for master-gardener trainees and ag-program students. Because SoilRibbon Feel Lab does not collect personal data, it does not build profiles of learners.
