Common field questions
Does the feel-test library work offline?
Yes. The seeded USDA classes, crop and cover catalog, amendment study notes, and drills ship on-device so you can work at the bed edge without a signal.
Are amendment scenarios prescriptions?
No. Scenarios are educational directions with verify-locally prompts. Always confirm with local extension guidance, lab tests, and your own site conditions before changing soil.
Where are site cards stored?
Site texture cards stay on your device via on-device storage. SoilRibbon Feel Lab is built as an on-device educational utility.
Why does ribbon feel change with weather?
Use the seasonal coach tips when ground is overly wet, frozen, or powder-dry—those conditions can skew cast strength and ribbon length. Remoisten samples toward a classic “moist putty” feel when possible.
